How do I apply for PRC?

Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) is a citizen-centric e-District service; citizen can apply for PRC through any of the following ways-

• Visiting state service delivery portal www.assam.gov.in
• Visiting Public Felicitation Centres available at DC Office Dhemaji, SDO (Civil) Jonai, Revenue Circle Office Dhemaji/Gogamukh/Sissiborgaon/Jonai
• Visiting Common Service Centres available throughout the district

Citizens are required to submit the following supporting documents along with thePRC application form-

1. One passport size photograph
2. Records of Immovable property if any, with up­to­date Land Revenue Paid  Slip
3. Copy of Indian Passport or Certified copy of NRC 1951
4. Certified copy of the voters list to check the linkage
5. Copy of the PRC of any member of the family of the applicant stating  relationship, if any
6. Copy of the Birth Certificate issued by the competent authority
7. Copy of HSLC Certificate/Admit Card
8. Employment Certificate issued by the employer showing joining in  present place of posting, if any
9. Documents related to parents and forefathers having continuously resided  in Assam for a minimum period of 50 years or
10. Documents related to guardian having continuously resided in Assam for a minimum period of 20 years

The Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) is duly signed digitally and can be verified online at https://edistrict.assam.gov.in.
