The district headquarter is located 442 km (approx.) away from the State Capital, Dispur.

Airport: Dhemaji District doesn’t have an Airport of its own and hence has to rely on the other Districts when it comes to Air Connectivity. However, by virtue of its location, it is blessed to have three Airports in the neighboring districts and the adjacent State.

1. Mohanbari Airport, Dibrugarh- Having located 79 KM Away from Dhemaji, this airport provides the major Air connectivity.
2. Lilabari Airport, Lakhimpur: It is located 69 km away from Dhemaji.
3. Pasighat Airport, Arunachal Pradesh: It is located 128 KM away from Dhemaji and provides the first choice of Air connectivity from the Subdivision Jonai.

Railway connectivity: In Railway, the town is served by the Dhemaji railway station of Rangiya railway division by its broad-gauge train service and provides connectivity to Guwahati and Murkongselek.

Major Railway Station: Dhemaji Rly. The station is located 2 Km(approx.) away from the Hq.

Minor Railway Station: Bordoloni, Jiadhal, Moridhal, Sripani, Sisibargaon, Silapathar, Archipathar Halt, Dipa, Simen Chapari, Telam, Laimekuri, Jone Karrang, Murkongselek.

Major Trains:

•    Kamakhya - Murkongselek Intercity Express- It connects jonai to Guwahati via Dhemaji

•    Naharlagun-Tinisukia Express- It connects Tinsukia to Naharlagun ( Arunachal Pradesh)

•    Rangiya - Murkongselek Passenger- It connects Jonai to Rangia Via Dheamji

•    Dekargaon - Murkongselek Passenger- It connects Jonai TO tezpur

Road Connectivity: The National Highway NH15 passes through Dhemaji and goes towards Lahoal via the Bogibeel bridge. Another National Highway, NH515 separates from the NH15 at Kulajan, Silapathar and ends at Pasighat passing through Jonai and Silapathar.
